Need a few ideas to get you started? We’ve put together a list of five summer bucket list ideas for Pagosa Springs.

1. Take a hot air balloon ride
There’s nothing quite like a birds-eye view of our spectacular mountain town. Head on over to Rocky Mountain Balloon Adventures to book your summer flight!

2. Soak in the mineral-rich hot springs
Treat yourself to some self-care and visit the world-famous Pagosa Springs hot springs. In 2011, the Guinness Book World Records named the spring beneath Pagosa Springs the “Deepest Thermal Hot Spring.” It measured at 1,002 feet, although it could be even deeper – the plumb line ran out before hitting bottom! There are three locations to choose from, all of which offer massage services. Why not make it a whole day of relaxation?

5. Paddle, float, or tube the San Juan River
Hot summer day? Head downtown for a day spent on the river. Mid-May through mid-June is a great time for kayaking or rafting; mid-June through early September is perfect for tubing. There are several water sport rental companies in town that can help you with everything you’ll need for your river trip.
