In 2011, the Guinness Book World Records named the spring beneath Pagosa Springs the “Deepest Thermal Hot Spring.” It measured at 1,002 feet, although it could be even deeper – the plumb line ran out before hitting bottom! There are three locations to choose from, all of which offer massage services. Why not make it a whole day of relaxation?
3. Explore Chimney Rock National Monument
Located just 7 miles from downtown Pagosa Springs, Chimney Rock National Monument is a must see for those who love history and culture.
4. Take a hike

5. Paddle, float, or tube the San Juan River
Hot summer day? Head downtown for a day spent on the river. Mid-May through mid-June is a great time for kayaking or rafting; mid-June through early September is perfect for tubing.
