I became a member of the Pagosa Springs Rotary in 1984 when women were first allowed to join. I was the first female member. I am currently immediate past President, and for the past eight years I have been the Youth Exchange Chairperson. Our club and my family have hosted exchange students from Norway, Italy, France, Australia, Belgium, Sweden, Brazil, Denmark, Ukraine, New Zealand, Argentina and Brazil. To date, we have sent students to Sweden, Australia, Turkey, India, New Zealand and Denmark.
While President of the Board of Realtors, I initiated a volunteer program in 1992 within our local board of Realtors which allows local Realtors to donate a dollar amount from each closing for scholarships for high school students. To date more than $200,000 has been donated.
My hobbies include downhill and cross country skiing and tennis.
Todd and I have been happily married for the past 35 years. Pagosas growth has allowed our three grown and married children to return to Pagosa with their children and find meaningful careers in their fields. We are a close family that enjoys winter sports. Primarily skiing, snowboarding and ice-skating. I am a full time Real Estate Professional. My Real Estate career is very rewarding on a human level.
